• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Atleast most of the days where I busted, I ended up with some great sunsets. These pictures for the most part not enhanced at all on my end.

I had forgotten about what I witnessed on May 23, 2010. This was a great chase with for me and my chase partners, Brady Kendrick and Jake Hudson. Pictured here, is a supercell actually eating another dying cell to its south. This storm later produced 5 more tornadoes, all witnessed by us near Texline, TX. You can actually see a cone funnel coming down from the base.

Sorry they are small, not sure what that's about. If you click on the images, they'll open bigger.

Some awesome photos on here! This is my new favorite, shot less than a week ago on the border of OK and the TX panhandle:

Wasn't chasing storms this day at all, just returning from a vacation in Colorado. Punched through this incredible shelf, and saw this view to the North on the other side. Convinced my wife that I needed to stop and shoot it, and luckily came across this old deserted highway. This is over 180 degrees of view, shot at 12mm to give you an idea of the scale. It was right on top of me!

If you want to see a larger size, go to:

Technical Details: Canon 30D with 10-22 lens at 12mm. 30 shots at F16 and 1/10 bracketted at +/- 1 1/3 stops. Stitched using PTGUI, blended in Photomatix, finished in CS4.

Pretty low-resolution on facebook, but a couple from this year......wish I had just a few seconds more, but I love the pressure and "zone" I can finally get in, in tense situations!

A pair of two EF-4's less than 200 yards away at different focal lengths:
