Cellular Internet for Home Use

Also, by "external antennae" do you mean something that goes on the outside of your car or just a USB port extension to get it a few inches away from the CPU? It did come with that.

Also, the worst website to load on it: sprint's. It is horribly slow, but I have not had any problems with others. They may want to fix that!

You can get an external antenna with an amplifier to boost your signal in areas where you have say 1 or 2 bars. I bought mine from https://www.maximumsignal.net/store/home.php and have had really good luck with it. You can buy a kit that comes with a magnetic mount antenna that you can stick on your roof that boosts the signal by 5 db.

I purchased a cheaper one last year and actually had better luck with it that the one in the kit.

Your results may vary, but the amplifier with the antenna makes a big difference in my experience. If you create your Sprint account online you'll see that there is place to track your usage. One the main page after you login, there is a link "usage details" that you can click on to see how much you've used. That store manager needs to brush up on the features of their website as he is definitely wrong!

I use the ATT air card 5GB Plan, where I live. The last two billing cycles, I have come very close to the 5GB limit. Download a lot of PDF files, it adds up quick. I plan on moving in the near future and cannot wait to get cable internet again.

The home of hundreds of weather links.

You can use 15 to 50 gigs and AT&T doesn't care and will not charge you overage fees so don't worry about your usage
