Mike I run with the 17-40L and IMO it is the defacto lens to have on the cCanon 10D - in fact I can not recal the last time I swapped lens in order to film a storm.

Acually I am thinking about selling my 20 - 135 IS and 70-300 IS canon lens due to lack of use!
