Blizzard Warnings in Southern CA

NWS Los Angeles has issued a blizzard warning for 4 AM PST Friday 2/24/2023 to 4 PM PST Saturday 2/25/2023 for Ventura County Mountains and Los Angeles County Mountains. CNN reports this is the first blizzard warning issued by the weather service’s Los Angeles office since 1989. They are reporting it to be 46 degrees in downtown LA as of 8:30 AM PST on Thursday 2/23/2023.

Update: They did get winter precip at eleavtions bellow the Hollywood sign. They seem confused as it if it is snow or hail. I would call it Graupel. Hollywood sign sees snow, hail during coldest storm in years (foxla.com)

The San Diego NWS issued its first blizzard warning ever. It was for the mountains of Riverside County.
