Best 2007 shelf cloud

Cool shots from all... nice stuff! Can I bend the rules and post one from about 3 years ago? :D I haven't really had too many chase opportunities the last couple of years, and when I have gone out, I've not been fortunate enough to see anything great.

Here's a salvaged scan from a film 4x6 print of an amazing shelf that rolled through my neighborhood during the summer of 2004. The HP scanner I used back then wasn't that good... so I had to clean it up somewhat in photoshop to make it more presentable. Anyway, I love this shot so I wanted to share.

The following three were taken from top of The Sears Tower in Chicago in September of 2006. People were scrambling for elevators as the shelf was rolling in.

Fantastic shots from above the Shelf by Mike Kucera.

Here's one shelf from a MCS pushing into a deeper stable layer from the top of the National Weather Center (from 12 July). Nothing like forced lifting to make a smooth shelf though it did signal the demise of this storm.
What I don't understand is this thin bright hairline riding in the base just above the shelf. It persisted through a few pictures here in this album.

Good day,

Not from 2007, but Labor Day weekend of 2006 in south FL - Taken from MD-80 re-routing to land in Miami instead of Fort Lauderdale due to severe MCS.

Location: In the air, circling, off Miami Beach (Sept '06) - Here's the shelf-cloud from about 4,000 feet!

We flew in and out of this thing ... Pilot calm and cool with his "Fasten your selt belts and make sure tray-tables are in their up-right and locked positions!"

... not my best, but got it tonight. (about 4 miles south of Weskan, Kansas at 01:33Z)

WOW!!! The pics from the Sears Tower are GREAT. I havent actually had any shelfs to photograph this year so I will resort to one of last years shelf clouds...
