Here's my best shelf-cloud pic from this year, taken May 21 near Pampa TX (a few more pictures HERE):
Here's a not-very-good panorama... I wasn't planning on making one when I was shooting, which explains why I didn't lock exposure for the three shots (I could spend more time post-processing them, but I don't really care that much in this case). The middle of the image is facing northwest, the right side faces north, and the left side faces west (so it's a 90 degree pano -- west through northwest through north):
Unfortunately, I'm not in a position or location to be able to have any pics of any supercell shelf clouds, but I can say that these are absolutely awesome pics everyone
I have always loved looking at shelf coud images of a supercell, to me that is the most breath taking part of any severe thunderstorm, just to see this huge sculpture in the sky that has been carved in by the wind, one of natures true and unmistakable treasures
My favourite all time shelf cloud images, are on Mike Hollingshead's webside, I think they were taken back in 2003? in NE, looking NW - NE, I think Mike will probably know the pics that I'm thinking of, at least I hope so lol
Anyways, thank you for uploading all these awesome pics 10 out of 10 for every single one of them
