Anyone seen video/photos of the Brooklyn NY tornado yesterday?

I doubt there are any, this was an early morning event, it was probably too dark to see anything. I've noticed over the years that in the Southern CT/NYC area it's not uncommon for a severe thunderstorm/supercell to come through right about at dawn. I've seen this happen many times, but I have no idea why that time period is so favorable, you would think it would be just the opposite.

Basically, in the noctural storm events, the low level jet strengthens, the mixing level lowers, moisture advection increases, and the cap weakens. The resulting instabilty leads to the formation of nightime/early moring thnderstorms.
It's of course more complicated than that, but that's the basic idea.
