• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Andy Gabrielson killed in traffic accident

My prayers have gone out for Andy's family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss. I never had the opportunity to meet Andy but I know the pain that comes from losing someone that you love. I pray that God will bless each of you and bring you great comfort during this tragedy.

I never had the privilege of meeting Andy, but it's well known that he was a great person in addition to being a great chaser. We lost one of the best in the chaser community, and he will be missed. RIP AG.

A major loss, not just to the Chase Community, but to mankind. My deepest condolences to all of Andy's Family and Friends...RIP Andy...You Will Be Missed....

If anyone is interested in purchasing any merchandise off his site, his Dad and Jaime will be handling orders and there is a LIMITED stock. All proceeds going to the family. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I've purchased a DVD and a Tshirt and plan to wear the shirt this year while chasing in his memory. I hope some others will join me in that.

I work in a very dangerous career field (Lost 203 brothers in on duty incidents last year) and there is a sign at the edge of the parking lot that reads "You are now entering the most dangerous part of your day: The Public Highway System". I see that sign and it really puts the issue at the forefront of my mind.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families involved

Met Andy two years ago in OK. What a cool guy. He was so willing to show me all his gear and some of his setup. You will be missed. Our prayers go out to his family and friends. We love you and you rock Andy!

I just heard the shocking news and my thoughts and prayers are with Andy and his family. I have always looked forward to his videos (often with a bit of envy). I met him at a ChaserCon and again chatted with Andy after the Ada, OK tornado last year. He was such a down to earth nice guy who truly loved storms and chasing. He will be missed.

Don't know what I could really say, beyond what everyone has already posted. I did not know Andy personally, but hearing the news and reading all these tributes brought tears to my eyes. I definitely grieve for his family.

I wonder if someone could work up a tribute video for showing on video night at the upcoming NSCC. I do realize the event is less than two weeks away. Unfortunately, I do not have any experience at putting such a thing together.

Andy...I lift up a glass of my best scotch as a toast to you...

Andy’s loss was indeed a shock and could have happened to any of us on the highway --or anywhere. We take for granted that our life will go on and on, without regard for how quickly chance can take it away. I can’t recall ever meeting Andy, but the loss of any storm chaser diminishes all of us… one fewer friend and one less companion to share his chasing experiences with us. - - - David Hoadley

Found out about this yesterday afternoon.

Such a huge loss not only to the chase community but also to the general public and more importantly his little girl and family. A GREAT chaser who will truly be missed... :-(

RIP AG!

I set my status on FB in memory of Andy. Instead of re-writing it, i will just copy paste.
Oh, and one more thing. I would like to send my condolences to the Gabrielson family for the loss of their son, Andy. Andy was probably one of THE best stormchasers out there. Wherever he was at while chasing, you could bet a tornado was not far behind. R.I.P Andy Gabrielson. You may be gone, but you will NEVER be forgotton.
Its always bad to lose one of your own, but its even worse that he was so young.
