An accredited online meteorology school.

I would like to study meteorology (and will probably do so in Canada.) My major stumbling block has been needing to work full-time and not having time for school, and money (if I want to avoid taking on large debt... which I do, which is why I'm moving to Canada.) Online coursework would be ideal. I wanted to get opinions from students and graduates here, if they think something like that would be viable, or if there would even be any sufficient interest from meteorological departments to participate in a project like this.

There are websites that offer accredited degrees in a variety of subjects, but I'm not sure what would go getting an online meteorology program accredited.

I haven't looked, but I would be surprised if you could find an organization that offers a legitimate 4-year degree in meteorology with a B.S online. If getting a degree is what you're looking for, you're most likely going to have to bite the bullet and attend a physical school for it.

On the other hand, if you just want to learn the material, there are loads of resources online. One particular resource is www.theweatherprediction.com. Others include the COMET modules at https://www.meted.ucar.edu/. There are many others as well. In fact, a search of this forum's archives should point you towards all of them.
