Over here in BC, we had a couple of strong cells move through. Heavy rain, hail and high winds nocked out power to some of the west coast. A number of waterspouts were reported out by Vancouver Island. As far as I understand, Enviroment Canada did confirm the waterspouts.

Again, Enviroment Canada was somehow caught off guard and did not issue and watches or warnings for the provence. They didn't even forcast this kind of weather until after it started. As far as I could tell, there was plenty of warning with that stalled front. Go figure. :roll:
 
Thinking this might be the last chance to chase in 2004 on the Canadian Prairies, I decided to take a run down to the Moose Jaw area on Tuesday. Having heard of hail being reported as large as 2cm near the Montana border, I found myself a bit too far north. I did however manage to snap a few lightning shots which I have posted on my site:
