Some peaks of sun across minn. per obs. temps around 80 with 70 points near the Twin Cities.

I'm kind of wondering why the southern edge of the box doesn't extend just a bit further south over NW Missouri ... wind has gotten better here - out of the SE right now. Also the skies cleared better than I expected. Cumulus fields ahead of this line - guess I'll head north toward Mound City/Rock Port here in a bit to see if this line can end up doing anything, though it looks like the best chance for something will be a bit later (not rushing across the state this time) ...
