This is my first post to this format. Just curious whether anyone has been watching the supercell that's presently hammering Toronto. It looks as impressive as anything I saw on the radar yesterday in Wisconsin.
 
Warnings from Environment Canada have stated that there have been some tornadoes reported in the Toronto area. No information on extent of damage, if any, or exact locations. Quite a few areas have been under tornado warnings.
 
Am I allowed to post tornado event summaries on here? If not, sorry but I saw no rule stating that those types of bulletins were prohibited. Basically this summary pretty much sums up the damage occured in Ontario this afternoon.... no official F ratings yet, but I am hearing talk about an F2...

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH A FRONTAL SYSTEM TRACKED EAST ACROSS SOUTHCENTRAL ONTARIO EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. THE SYSTEM CONTINUED TO MOVE EAST INTO THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS. ONE STRONG LONG LIVED THUNDERSTORM CELL TRACKED FROM MILVERTON TO JUST NORTH OF FERGUS AND INTO BRAMPTON AND THE NORTHERN PART OF TORONTO. A NUMBER OF WITNESSES HAVE REPORTED TORRENTIAL HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND
DAMAGING WINDS INCLUDING TORNADOES. ENVIRONMENT CANADA CONDUCTED A PRELIMINARY SURVEY THIS AFTERNOON. IT IS PROBABLE THAT ONE OR MORE TORNADOES AFFECTED THE AREA NEAR FERGUS THIS AFTERNOON AND A MORE EXTENSIVE SURVERY WILL ATTEMPT TO VERIFY THIS ON SATURDAY.
