• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

today i sat waiting for storms to form in a highly unstable and moist atmophere in northern MS, south central TN...my camcorder said it needs its heads cleaned so i come back to see all my insane video looking like lines and blue bars...

i was waiting for pulse severe cells in the counties in the SVR ww area i was sittin at the house, and my girlfreind comes in with her little brother and is like, "terry! theres a huge storm out there!!"

she is getting into the whole met thing and was more exited than me even because "she" spotted the thing...

well, we ride down CR1438 a mile or so to a clearing to see this insane updraft and it even looked like it had a small lowering near the UDI...this was IMO the best storm i have seen this year...

it was elevated, but it was pulling inflow hard...you could see condensation rapidly rising into it...and feel air blowing towards it...and it was black with greenage in the core...it was a multi-cell/quasi-linear line...and you could really see the 3000CAPE in the storms appearance...

when i come up on it...there was just this BLACK rainfoot with condensation right at the ground near the impact point...i swear...this was the NICEST storm to date this year for me...

we go back to the house and this thing has over 60 on the VIL and a 60< dBz core...this thing was just crawling down 78 with a SICK looking updraft...we come into fulton just as the city is getting cored and there was just blinding rains in the downdraft with some embedded hailstones...people pulled off the road and gridlock not 1 mile east of the tenn tom waterway...

i could swear there would be some big hail with 60+ VIL, but i guess the FRZ level just want right...i didnt call in any reports but after the storm went outflow dominant, and i went home...i took old 78 (hwy178) back though mooreville and along the way there were alot of shredded leaves and pine needles all over the road and some minor street flooding...but not any notable damage...

the storm looked soo damn good on camera! but when i uploaded it...all i got was blue bars and lines, so it was a major let down...but i really enjoyed chasing that storm...like i said...the best chase this year...and under 40 miles too...
