SVR T-storm warning for Lee County, FL. Explosive development just over the last few minutes. I watched a tornado develop over the beach in Ft. Meyers Beach and move out over the Gulf of Mexico as a waterspout. I'm going to go ahead and call this my second tornado of the year since it started over land.
I don't have pics of this because I was driving back from dinner with the fam.
It was crazy awesome watching the entire thing evolve from forward flank circulation to funnel to ground debris until it moved offshore and the two circulations connected. A whole lot of sand being ripped up into this thing! As it moved offshore it became rainwrapped then roped out. It's lifetime was about 10-15 minutes and it was just gorgeous. Too bad my camera wasn't with me.
OOPS: Mods! Please add a NOW to my post. In my excitement, I forgot.
