After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.
I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.
For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.
From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

nice looking fast moving storm moved into Olathe, KS
I had just gotten home from doing my EOAS class, working out and doing errands around Overland Park , KS. On the news that there were now a severe thunderstorm watch for Douglas, Franklin and Johnson County, KS until 11 pm. Maybe there was a chance for some "action".
On the way, I could see cells and storms bubbling up into the sky. As I pulled into the driveway, looking north, the intensifying storm was now throwing down huge lightning bolts. It was time for a local chase.
It was now 6:58 pm. I headed 2 miles north down Black Bob and 135th Street to camp out in one of my favorite observing locations, Frontier Trail JH parking lot (my wife's school). I had a ring side seat for north, west, south and most of east view.
The bolts were coming more frequently as I started videotaping and taking some photos.The winds were really picking up and quite forcefull that I almost worried about my camera which lay on the hood with the suction cupped tripod.
The turbulence in the sky was quite incredible. Scuds were flocking around in all directions at many levels in the atmosphere . Meanwhile the fast moving clouds were moving first from the north and then wrapping west and then heading south. I was wondering whether or not something really violent would be brewing in the south where all the clouds were heading.
There were no wallclouds but the fast and furious clouds were streaming south at a tremendous pace. Around 7:11 most of the action has paced over head and heading south so I decided to head back South on Black Bob road to see if I could observe anything lower to the horizon.
I camped out in the new shopping center parking lot just at corner of Black BOb and 151st as the stormcell overtook us completely. People were watching the sky and the turbulence while munching on their subs in Mike's Subway shop (lot's of glass for a great view).
I sat in the car but the storm seemed to be de-intensifying. No wallclouds, no wannabee funnels or anything. No hail just some rain.
Pulled back into the driveway at 7:33 pm. For a local mini-chase, it was not too shabby. The highlight was the speed and movement of the clouds and the scuds. The sky colors bordered on light green at times too so that was exciting.
I will post photos and videoclips and maybe a youtube of the fast and furious moving clouds on the report thread.
