• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

6/13/04: REPORTS

Congrats Natalie!! Beautiful pic as well for your first!

I didn't make it out today. Sups that went north of GRR were already firing by the time I woke up and realized what was happening weather-wise.

Didn't bother heading out for the \"line\" that formed. It looked like garbage when it developed, and I wasn't holding out too much hope that it would intensify much more. Sure enough, it didn't.

The TOR that went out for Lapeer County caught me by surprise. Info that I have stated that a Fire Department official reported a funnel or tornado. Looked at radar and saw NO rotation at all! Everything looked like, well, garbage! I could see getting a little wind or lightning out of it, but nothing else.

I'm starting to like the Slight Risk days more and more

Yeah, I was on that cell in Lapeer county, and the tornado got reported at the same intersection I was at. Was a non-rotating wall cloud, with alot of scud hanging down, but no rotation at all...

I suppose this would go under the 13th report. I was actually still up at 4 am when I saw on radar a flying eagle screaming se right for Blair. It passed just north of town. This was one shot looking north. The storm knocked down a bunch of trees where it actually went through.

News travels pretty slow around here but at least I finally found those pictures from Vulcan, Alberta. I don't know who the photographer is but one site that I found the photos on just listed them as "anonymous". Pretty good photos for an "anonymous" storm chaser IMO.

If anyone knows the name of the photographer, please post it. I hate finding photos that have no name on them.

Happy Canada Day all!
