5/26/06 NOW: KS / NE

Writing this on a cell connection while heading home -- Me n' Darren Addy were on the right split east of GLD, and we were wondering the same thing. Supercell or not? It looked really linear and outflow dominant near the end and produced one heck of a boiling mass of a shelf cloud. Awesome mammatus, too! Verrry photogenic storm, once we punched east of it. Pretty sure there were no tornadoes today on either the left or the right split, at least, not by the time we got to it. I'll be slapping my forhead if there were and I missed 'em. :)

*EDIT* I meant to say the storm east of Hill City. See what chasing does to the brain?! ;)

I am currently sitting in Concordia, KS waiting for the line to come through. Ran into a group of about 12 college kids on their last day of a two week chase from Canada. This storm had some half decent structure while there was still daylight. Just appears to have been a lack of interaction with the warm front, or some other type of unfortunate thing.
