5/13/09 OK - Gracemont & Anadarko

Maybe I missed something or maybe it was omitted but was this called in to 911, NWS or reported on SN? If I were witnessing what I knew were wedges, let alone wedges in the dark near a populated area, the first thing I’d do would be to call in to report my observations. Just curious if a report was made, it would tell me a lot about the impressions of the witnesses to the event at the time but not necessarily the veracity of the report. I would hope if indeed one thought they were seeing such an event they would call it in, likewise I would hope if they were unsure or had doubts they would refrain.

we had piece of furniture phones Italian and in that zone not there was field, but, we have made a signalling on spotternetwork not hardly the mobile logon has allowed to make it us, was hardly sufficient in order to refresh the Grlevel2, but not enough for being able to be surfing on the site spotternetwork. After the storm, we have spoken with a fireman near Cyril, but he did not know nothing of the Tornado.

I must admit, the video looks very like the scud I saw rising from hail cooled air west of the mesocyclone near Clovis, on June 7 1998. Had this been hidden by hills/lit by nocturnal lightning it could have looked like a tornado. Pulling the slider back and forth on YouTube shows (a poor man's timelapse!) shows, IMO, motions more akin to scud development. Indeed, early on, it's certainly just scud.

Gentleman, I am not here in order to demonstrate at all costs that he has be a matter a Tornado, I am here in order to make clarity on this event, I make excuses myself if I have mistaken the points cardinals and the signallings begin them, but that zone of Oklahoma was new for me, indeed the presumed Tornado has been filmed and photographed in very bad conditions, with rain and wind, therefore this has rendered the much more difficult precise place till when I have not been able to extract my position GPS, for this the first signallings turns out wrong.

We to the 21,20 have feed the road 19 from Apache in direction of Cyril, distance little more than a mile and means ahead to we on the left, therefore in direction NNE we have seen illuminated from the lightnings probable the first one touchdown in direction of Anadarko - Gracemont, Tornado that then has been strengthened continuing its distance along the Highway from Gracemont in direction of Anadarko, in fact its position respect stretched to move towards right own for its movement of approach with direction N-S.

I Place now a photo, made begins them with a wide lens, the photography is of the 21,25 and has been able to show the directions with in road the 19 not debatable reference of Apache-Cyril.

Thanks for that extra info - I'm afraid I still remain unconvinced - whether or not that is important to you is obviously your choice! To me, it still looks like scud, and doesn't really look like a tornado.

It's filmed from the same location as your's! If anything, it only helps to confirm that this is definitely scud. IMO, it's not even questionable anymore, it's obvious. It's not even close. The Gracemont - Anadarko tornado was too far for you to see and it was rainwrapped, it doesn't matter if you were looking in the general direction or not. I don't understand how you don't understand this. I know you want to believe that you filmed a wedge, but all of the wishing and convincing in the world still won't make that a tornado.
