5/10/10 NOW: KS, OK, TX

Huge damage radar return approaching Okemah, OK.

New storm just fired up west of Newalla along I-40. Showing rotation... This is exactly the location where the tornado earlier went through and hit that truckstop and overturned dozens of vehicles.

Called work (just east of the NWC, across the parking lot), they said any damage to the NWC was due to inflow winds, and would probably have been minor. Norman mesonet had reported 64mph inflow gusts earlier.

Just got off the phone with Jeff Piotrowski.... reporting a monster wedge tornado west of Weleetka, Oklahoma.

UPDATE: Now reporting multiple-vortex tornado, maybe 1/2 mile wide!

According to the SPC Mesoanalysis the STP for the Effective layer maxed out at beyond 12. We don't know how high it actually is bc the contours stopped at 12. It could seriously be 20 or 30.

All the parameters for this setup are just insane.

Agreed. Helicity values are 750+ and EHI was at 25 earlier today. They are now down to 20 but still even that is off the charts.

It was just over 20 about 2 hours ago.

Kake (Wichita area TV station) has posted a short video of a wedge tornado near Hunnewell, Kansas on their website. Link.
