4/27/06 FCST: TX/NM

Kevin Scharfenberg

Surprised there isn't a topic about this yet. Tomorrow looks very good on the high plains of southeastern NM and southwest TX. Very good to excellent shear profiles as the upper low approaches. Cloud bases will be a little high and the cap will be weak. I expect several supercells to develop NW through SW of MAF during the afternoon. These should be pretty photogenic and I wouldn't be surprised to hear about a tube or two, but long-lived/strong tornadoes not looking likely yet. High dewpoint depressions and numerous storms developing later will tend to promote cold pools. Should be a good day to get out for chasers based in LBB or MAF areas.
