Tornado warning in the east Denver Metro Area (Denver and Adams Counties), there are reports on the radio of a tornado by the Denver International Airport. A severe thunderstorm warning was also issued for Yuma County until 7:15 p.m.

The Adams County Sheriff reported a funnel cloud over Denver International Airport at 6:20 p.m.

At 6:20pm I was coming home via Pena Blvd, to Tower, northbound to 120th, which runs up the west side of DIA. Base of the storm was very high (I could still see the mountains to the west underneath it), lots of extremely dark rain shafts, had the makings of a shelf cloud on forward flank. Did not see any visible rotation although it had a decent rain free base on it.

Public is reporting a tornado near Deer Trail, tor warning issued for Arapahoe county till 7:45pm MT. Probably a landspout from the storm previously near DIA.
