Currently checking data in the parking lot of the Microtel Inn in Brush, CO. With robust cu fields to the northeast and southeast, I've decided to move about 35 miles east to the town of Akron, CO, from which I have a good north/south and east/west road options in case somethdecides to develop out of either of those cumulus fields or in front of or behind me.

Impressive TOR-warned supercells over westcentral Texas right now. RUC mesosnalysis shows the inflow sector to be quite favorable for maintaining the intensity of these supercells. Given the fact these storms are already quite established, vertical pressure perturbation gradients induced by the convection interacting with the sheared deep-layer flow will continue to allow these storms to thrive in the already favorable ambient environment. Favorabley low LCL height and robust boundary layer moisture will definitely increase the potential for these storms to continue to produce tornadoes.

Unfortunetely, I'm in Detroit--once again! :(

SilverLining Tours are reporting a tornado on the ground near to Patricia, TX (10 miles SSW of Lamesa)

Edit - due to delay of message this would be the Ex Dawson county / now Borden County cell.

Drummond is leaving the cell N of Big Spring for the stronger storm heading towards Lamesa.

edit: took him all of like 30 seconds to get the new storm in view

I though that would be the next play up by Seminole looks really nice in the Drummond Cam. So i take it that was a tornado i saw when the frame froze a few minute back.

I have been coming and going I'm trying to finish up a take home exam.

Cell near Dimmitt showing some Christmas green and red at its tail. I would not be surprised to see this go TOR, but I don't know the parameters that far up for sure.

I'm most concerned with the storm west of Lueders, TX right now. Absolutely massive mesocycle detected on radar. It's driving the GR2Analyst algorithms crazy, and its not sure where on the meso to place the TVS icon. Definitely quite the HP storm. Bill Tabor looks to be near there, but I havent seen much from his feed recently. Probably wrapped in rain if there is a tornado.

I can't tell what to make of the cells north of ABI. Still indicating strong rotation, but it looks like it's in the process of splitting. Verne Carlson is on that storm. I would definitely want to stay on the southern cell there, even though there's still a TVS up north, I can't imagine the meso on that one not getting seeded at this point.

Edit - the southern flank is really starting to develop on this one now as well.

I'd say that thing is outflow dominant and turning into a really intense bow echo. Large area of >71kt inbounds off Dyess AFB radar. Look out Shackelford Co!

Dave Drummond Video Stream

I noticed on the Severe Studios site that Dave has streaming video back up with a great view of the Lamesa storm - large base with inflow tail from the north.
