Couldn't pass up a chase close to home. A pocket of CAPE and some good westerly shear led to the development of a prolific hailer over Pueblo County last night. Positioned myself for the maximum hail, which was soft but started out in the quarter to half-dollar size. Then the pennies came in buckets and covered the road a couple inches. Lots of ligthning, wind, and widespread 2+ inches of rain as the storm morphed into one of the more impressive MCVs ive seen on radar. All n all, not bad for 10 miles round trip!
