• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

3/31/07 NOW: IL / MO / IA

Not chasing just observing from home in Omaha. Nice area of cumulus growing in bright sunshine south of Omaha. Area of storms has developed from about Lincoln to Pawnee City. Current temp is 64 F and S wind at 20.

Tornado Watch 100 Issued for NE so starting the Now thread for today's severe weather.

Lines of towering cumulus with imbedded heavy rainshowers moving through extreme NE Nebraska ATTM...sunshine is coming out, towers are not the crispest at this point with visual obs here near SUX. Main emphasis is the strong to severe thunderstorms developing on radar SW of Omaha towards Lincoln and severe warned. Expect intensification and supercell storm mode posing a tornado threat. Activity should increase rapidly this afternoon.

Mods: Please delete the other NOW thread as this was posted earlier. thanks.

Already a tor warn for a minisup effecting Johnson/Otoe counties in Nebraska. Radar indicated at this time but in a very favorable environment for intensification. This could certainly be an interesting day. Interesting NNW storm motion too should prove for different chase approach tactics.

Sitting in Ottumwa gathering data with Joel Wright. Towers exploding everywhere around. May head a bit west of town and try to intercept the new cells going up there....

jeremy.. when you get a chance.. check your pm's.. we can meet up maybe. we are headed your wayy. looking at that northern mo cell moving NNE..

Sitting at a rest area about 35 miles west of Iowa City....storm gaining strength just west of me crossing I-80. May blast up north with it here in a sec.

Major convection is visible to my NW. i'm on I35 near Excelsior Springs, MO. Will most likely move north and west.

I'm in Iowa City. The cells you're on are rapidly moving north across the WF into stable air... I'm watching the stuff intensifying along the IA/MO border, and may opt to blast west on I-80 for an intercept if radar trends continue to look favorable. Those cells will have some unstable air to work with for the next few hours.

Storm Chasers.. Congratulations you can choose whats behind door 1 - 20 lol

I dont know which one to go after.. Im on I 80 trying to decide what to do.. What a nightmare.. Sitting at the motel 6 outside of 59hwy to Harlan

at work, pea to marble hail barrage for 60-90 seconds here in North Sioux City from one of the storms. These storms are quite active electrically as well with frequent CG and IC lightning. Torrential downpours that turn off and on as sudden as one flips a switch.

Tornado Warning for the storm near Panora, IA in Guthrie County. It's showing some decent rotation and it heading north-northwest. It looks like the storms are starting to get a little more organized. It is going to be very hard to determine which storms to go after, being they are small and very numerous. Good luck out there guys.

Looks like a solid line of strong storms has formed from C-IA to NE MO. moving rapidly NNE and strengthening in EC-SE IA. The Benton co. storm is the only one showing a a rotation around here..actually looking in the line like a small bow developing earlier. Be interesting to see how far North and East the line goes.
