A brand new tornado watch has just been issued for extreme northwestern Kansas and much of west central Nebraska until 9 p.m. MDT/ 10 p.m. CDT. A cluster of supercells is beginning to erupt in the left exit region of the upper jet, stretching from north of Colby to southwest of North Platte. One storm in central Hayes County, Nebraska is now tornado warned (doppler indicated). I expect many of these cells will go tornado warned as the evening progresses.
Another tornado warned cell is located in Sedgwick County, Colorado where storm spotters have apparently been tracking a tornado for the last twenty minutes. Any chasers on this?

I hope some chasers was there on those cells, looks like we already have 3 tornado reports from extreme ne CO near Holyoke and Julesburg. Still some nice looking tornado warned storms in sw NE right now.

I was on the storm near Hayes Center. It had lots of cascading motion under the rapidly advancing updraft south of town. On the north side of town, a new lowering developed that produced a nice cigar shaped funnel extending to about 1000 ft off the ground. Could never confirm a touchdown.

As for the Sedgwick county, CO reports. They are REAL!
