Supercell storm with significant hook and nice couplet in NE Oldham county. Residents in Channing better look out for this one.

I guess I'll reply in this thread since three of us had the same idea. That thing is moving into an area with less cape and such but it might've latched onto a boundary or something there. Very impressive radar presentation!

Those cells in New Mexico must have sky high bases. They show up as tiny showers on BR 1 & 2. Have to go up to 3 or 4 to even see the storm.

If you are looking from Holloman your lower tilts are being blocked by the line of mountains just to the east of the AFB.

Quite a big radar hole there in SE NM. Anything in that area is going to be hard to get any decent radar representation. Just about everything from the surrounding radars is going to be sampling only the higher levels of the storms.

Impressive cell in Sherman co. Tx right now. Has been showing signs of rotation and in the last 3 loops has made a right turn. Its problem has been keeping its updraft out of the FFD and at the same time smaller showers to the south keep getting drawn into the southern flank of the storm. The updraft has been clear for the last 20 min and if can stay clear it might have a chance to really get rooted and not choke out.
