3/23/07 NOW: TX/NM/OK/KS

Skywarn and Local media chasers are reporting multiple tornadoes on the ground with several power flashes with the storm south of Clovis....This is all coming from reports that are being broadcasted over the local channels out of Amarillo......................

My GRLevel3 is spitting out a 66kt TVS on the Clovis storm. Not good.

Looks like the storm West of Hobbs is trying to rotate as well and moving north toward Clovis. Those poor folks are in for a long night! Does anyone have a link to local media coverage via the web for that area?

I don't know if you'll really find what you want out of ABQ, but you can try. Someone said something about AMA media being on the scene.

Storm entering Western Reno Co. KS looks like some weak rotation west of Langdon and SW of Sylvia/Plevna area. Looks like maybe and hook look to it like the inflow notch. Storms moving NE line moving E.

The storm I mentioned early that was west of Hobbs looks like it's about to be warned. The radar looks pretty good on it and I'm surprised it's not warned yet. I guessing we'll see one soon. I believe this storm is near Caprock and of course has a path that would take it near Clovis later tonight if it can hold together. Have never been out in West Texas I'm assuming there's little population in these areas? At least I hope...

Yes, local media out of AMA is covering the storm that just went through Clovis...Reports so far is Major Tree Damage and Structure damage on the East and NorthEast side of Clovis...... Again, just relaying from AMA....

THe storm now appears that it has lost a little of its rotation. Storm now that concerns me is in Western Moore County, TX.... Storm is becoming more decrete and the low level just is also starting to kick in. Decrete cell on the leading edge of the mess is becoming better organized...

KAMC out of Lubbock is in Clovis and seems to affirm that.

Edited: TX panhandle tornado watch budged slightly east and extended until 0500.

Looks like storms are trying to rapidly develop south of Amarillo now with a possible hook from what I see on the last couple radar shots.

Yes, I see that to, these are the storms that would more than likely produce tornadoes........ I agree that there is a hook starting to form and the intensity of the storm is increasing rapidly. Also, storm north of Lake Merideth is starting to show signs of rotation. Several little cells are blowing up right in front of it, might get interesting. Amarillo and Canyon really need to watch this storm closely....

The cells south of Amarillo appear to be splitting into two discrete cells from the last images. I don't know if anyone else agrees, but if that is the case. I think NWS needs to issue at least a severe warning on those... Nothing yet and if they are splitting I think they have a good chance of going tornadic. Anyone chasing in the area that is reading this that can confirm?

The storms due south of Amarillo look like junk... The best activity in their area is west and southwest, I see some nice rotation along US385 north of Hereford but no warning.

Yea, after I posted I saw it falling apart. I'm now watching a cell south of Seminole... I'm surprised again there is no warning on it!

Just got a warning on it as I typed. I think that is the best looking cell out there right now to develop into the future...
