Tornado reported near the town of Logan, NM, pop. just over 1,000. Not surprised, this thing looks beastly

The couplet is now crossing OUT of the warned area, 10 minutes after the warning was issued. While areas WAY north that are experiencing anvil blow off rain are remaining warned.

Mesoscale analysis now advertises the sfc low @ 999mb in Mexico, S of ELP. MAF reports 30kt backing winds. I don't remember, but weren't the sfc winds supposed to be fairly calm this afternoon, like 15-20kts?

*edit FWIW, there is a tongue of WAA at 700/500mb from Big Bend region NNEwd. Colder air at these heights will remain over NM, extreme W TX PH.

Still big-time g2g on the "US54" storm as it approaches TX line. Anticipate TOR from AMA shortly...

Quite an image attm... http://weather.cod.edu/analysis/paulradar.pl?FDX

76dbz from the Lovington storm. Reed's in Lovington... Go Reed!

There was a reported brief touchdown in and around SW Lovington on that cell, nothing on any damage yet. It's scoot'n on torward Tatum and I'm sit'n in brownfield, working, and waiting for the upper low to push the clouds in my backyard over the next few hours. I can feel it coming together, getting windy out there, but stuck in here, it's downright irritating.

Edited to add: Tornado touchdown reported W of Tatum, tracked north for a few miles, riding SH 206 near the small community crossroads and appears to be on a more northern track now.

Reed Timmer is reporting a stovepipe tornado at the moment west of Tatum, NM.

Edit: It is beginning to wrap in rain...but still on the ground.

They finally re-issued the Tor warning on the Pecos cell, looks like some nice big hail too, interesting to see if any reports come in as it goes NE and cross I-10.

Still out in some lonely open country.

The hail glob on Grlevel2 is amazing! It has some cool structure.

I have been watching the multicell cluster in Ks and im starting to notice rotation at the lower levels. Storm is still svr warned also have noticed a notch on the south end of the storm about 2 mi W of Pratt. If this thing right turns I will be able to intercept in Reno Co but thats only if she right turns. The atmospher is more favorable for tornadoes about 40 miles E of the storms current location. Im hoping these storms come together and stop undercutting the updraft with the ffd's.

Edit: im seeing 2 mesos showing up on radar on the back end of the now supercell complex. Winds are now straight out of the SE and this baby is all alone. Now we need a right turn...

EDIT: Its right turning im headed to Hutchinson on K-96 hope to intercept south side of storm in 30-45 min.

Looks like Clovis is going to take a direct hit from some pretty ugly storms. If anyone is out chasing and reading this and in that area... You may want to head south towards the Hobbs area as there are new storms fire south that look a bit more defined as the storms more north seem to be blending all together into a big mass... Might make for better chasing... Look out Clovis as there's a couple monters on the radar heading right at you. I've never seen a storm wrap around like that so big on radar!
