Well when I got home from school about 4:00, I decided to take a brief nap, seeing as there was only a small thunderstorm near DIA. Woke up only a few minutes ago to the sound of my NOAA WX radio alert signal squawking and the sound of thunder. I tuned in hear "Severe Thunderstorm warning until 8 p.m. for north central Morgan County" and go "WTF? That's where I live!"

So I ran outside and sure enough, the southern sky is completely black and constantly rippled with lightning. Turns out there's a pretty nasty HP-ish supercell which is severe warned for dropping quarter size hail about 15 miles to my south just northwest of Fort Morgan, moving straight north (right at me) at 20 mph! So I don't have to do anything but let the storm come to me, which it should do in about forty five minutes; til then I get an awesome lightshow! Pretty cool for a day where I didn't even expect any severe weather, let alone in my own backyard!:D
