• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I had been watching this low march across the gulf since last night. I left the house about 8 a.m. and headed NW from Gainesville. Around 09:30 I stopped for data in Lake City right off of I-75. I continued north to the White Springs exit just as the front passed, it was a torrential downpour with some light hail. After it passed and settled into steady rain, I drove south to check for damage, setting my normal digital trunking scanner to scan for local VHF channels used in Columbia and Suwannee Counties. I heard reports of roofs off and power lines down just east of where I had stopped for data. I drove back to Lake City and carefully picked my way past dark traffic lights and into the area. There was not widespread damage but it was on a SW to NE track through a residential/light industrial area. I turned a corner to see a UPS truck on its side next to a set of RR tracks with the lights still on. The driver was okay, reaally shaken up though. The local PDs worked quickly to set up a perimeter and began roaming the area trying to help people but also making sure the people and traffic there were supposed to be there. I had managed to park my car with the lights and wipers off near the SW corner of where the damage started. I was going to wait for the rain to slack off so I could put the helicam in the air and take some aerials. The rain didnt stop and FHP finally saw me and told me I had to leave the area.
Below is the UPS truck on its side. Its a screen grab, not that great of quality.
