I caught some thundersnow yesterday afternoon in Wolf Creek Pass, CO. The brief clip linked below shows the loudest of three rumbles of thunder I caught with a squall that passed over Wolf Creek Pass around 4:30 p.m. P-type was mostly graupel (snow pellets) with a little ordinary snow mixed in. Temperature was in the mid to upper 30s. Due to the isolated nature of the cell and its fairly rapid movement, accumulations from this squall were less than a half-inch, even under the heaviest part of the squall. If you watch closely you can see a flicker of lighting about five seconds before the thunder begins, indicating that the lightning was about a mile from my location.
