Today looks like a decent chase day, although prospects were higher when looking at this a few days out. Moisture has taken a huge hit over the past 3-6 hours, as can be seen by the mesonet in OK. I went to bed with dewpoints in the low 70s in SE OK, and woke up to upper 50s and low 60s dewpoints.

Nevertheless, the NAM seems to want to recover moisture into the 70s. While I don't buy that, moisture return seems to be OK. Forcing should be fine, especially along the cold front in OK/TX with multiple CAM's showing convection.

Extreme CAPE will be the story today, hopefully some big hail and maybe some 'mesoscale accident' if we're lucky. Since I have my Fin friend Jari with me, we will likely be out, targeting southern Oklahoma along I-35 (Ardmore area)
