So no one's going to talk about this event?

There was a pretty beastly tornadic supercell just north of the border on Monday. Definitely looked mean from KMBX despite the distance. I haven't seen any data from any Canadian radars (not sure if there were any close enough to get better data than KMBX). Apparently this tornado was down for nearly three hours! I didn't see any familiar names on SN on that storm, but you-know-who was on it. He got some pretty crazy video of it:

WDT has some Canadian data sitting around here somewhere. I'll go digging tonight to see if I can turn any halfway decent radar images up.

Disappointing that there appears to be no Level II or Level III radar archive data at NCDC from KMBX. It would have had a great shot at the storm during the life of the tornado.

Why is that by the way?? I've noticed that too... There is a lot of dead space between radar sites out there as well....

It looks like prior to July 17, the data was quite reliably archived. Since then, hardly anything has been. Radar problems that have been persistent for more than 2 weeks?

I'm pretty sure the lack of data from that site is due to technical repairs and difficulties experienced there for sometime. The radar was only operating during the event and was otherwise shut down. Perhaps they disabled archiving during the downtime, too. You could always email the folks at NCDC and find out exactly why.
