I am still learning a lot about forecasting so I am curious to see what you guys with more experience have to say.... I am member of rescue squad in my area and we are gearing up for tomorrows storms. We are 40miles east of nashville

I'm not an expert by any means, but my 2 cents and "guesstimate" based on what's going on in TX/OK today/yesterday juxtaposed with what was foretasted to occur and what I see going on today, I'd say just keep your rain gear handy and be thankful for some good rainfall. I think this particular cold front (and system as a whole) completely bamboozled the models for whatever reason, and may still be doing so.

And with that, there is a tornado warning on a embedded cell in Central Ill w a nasty looking hook! Did not see that coming.

This storm system seems to defy a lot of things. I guess it will be wait and see......

The storm reports map for 2013-04-10 is very interesting to boot in it's arching pattern that is very narrow and well defined.
