I'll be coming out the the plains from NC for the last 2 weeks in May 2012. So far, I'm driving out solo and will chase solo. I wouldn't mind 1-2 people to chase with and cost share if anyone is interested. If have some experience chasing, mostly jungle chasing...so it will be nice to actually have some good visibility. I chased the high risk on April 16th in eastern NC amd saw two tornadoes, and chased Alabama on April 27 and got the Tuscaloosa tornado.

I'm not wreckless and don't do "stupid" stuff......I take precautions when safety becomes an issue. I'm a strong believer in using common sense. However I don't mind getting close within reason, main factors are visibility, escape route, debris, etc. I enjoy hail......but don't plan to core punch baseball hail and larger in my vehicle. I don't care about dents, but don't want to lose windows and get my equipment soaked. I would enjoy seeing some large hail and getting some video if shelter can be found ahead of the core.

I'm not hard to get along with, don't mind smoking and listen to a wide variety of music. I take showers, and prefer to ride with somebody that does the same..... I don't mind driving long hrs. When I chased in Alabama, I left my house in Winston-Salem NC 4:30am on April 27, and pulled back into my driveway at 3:30am on April 28. 23 hours and 1,110 miles later with no stopping besides gas and chasing.

I have my own equipment, laptop, inverter, cameras, tripods and mounts, etc. as I usually chase solo. Hopefully you will have your own stuff as well, as I'm picky about my camera equipment.

I don't mind riders in my vehicle, and don't mind riding along with somebody else. I will pay my own way, and share cost regardless of the vehicle arrangements.

I think i can work something out away from this thread, but i suppose if somebody makes a good offer, i might as well make myself known. My chasing situation is a little bit tricky because i am still in high school and chasing days/distance are limited. I can mainly chase minnesota but if there is a good setup elswere that i can make it too, i am there. I am 18 however so that shouldn't be an issue, unlike last year. You should know that i am not like many of the other kids my age going out chasing, I have loved weather from a young age and dont ever see myself stopping. I plan on going to school to become a meteorologist.

Ideally i would like somebody experienced to chase with that knows what they are doing, but if somebody wants to split costs, im not super picky. I do hope to have my own vehicle by then but vehicle arrangements can be made later. I have my own laptop and camera. I am still an 85% noob so i dont know the fine details of things, but i am trying to learn.

Hi all!!! I just moved to Denver from Arizona last summer. I would love to link up with anyone this Spring/Summer and finally get out in the field chasing. I am willing to help with costs and am willing to learn anything and everything I can. I will be at Chasercon again this year in Denver, would love to talk to some folks! I realize what I am asking/hoping for, just wanted to put myself out there (for good company, if nothing else lol! ) If I am not able to tag along, I am planning on going out on my own, but staying very conservitave, and out of the way :)

Hi all! I'm looking to team up with some more people from the Kansas City area. I currently chase with another person on this board but would like to expand our team. See you all out there!

Hey all! I'm from Appleton, WI and plan on chasing the last week of April. Plan on leaving Wisconsin on Saturday April 21st and returning by the 29th. I have a choice of vehicles to chase in. If I chase alone or with 1 other person, I will be driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It proved to be very handy when I came across fallen trees last year on my chases. If I end up with more than 2 people in the vehicle I can chase in a Chrysler Towne & Country with Sirius radio. I am looking for anybody. Mainly another set of eyes, and somebody that can share expenses. If you have no experience storm chasing, that's fine too. The company would be nice. I'll be arriving at ChaserCon on Friday the 17th around 4:00pm at the Red Lion Hotel. Shoot me a message on here and we can connect in Denver to talk and see where things lead.

Hey everyone! I am looking for a chase partner I am taking off the first two weeks in May. I'd prefer someone with experience but its not a must. Someone good at navigating would be nice, but being up for long range chases is a must. I have my own equipment, I also have plenty of room for extra equipment if you want to bring yours along as well. Would like someone who is able to split cost. If that's not possible as long as you can pay for your own meals and such then I have no problem with you tagging along.

Im headed out to the plains late April into early May, (2 weeks) have a seat open for a passenger. No smoking in my new SUV! Expect to chip in for gas and your own expenses. I have many years experience as does the other fellow Im bringing out with me. Nows the chance!

Veteran Chaser Looking for Ride

Truman Boyer here.
Leaving from Maryland
Free to chase May 4 through 28.

Highly experienced. Chasing since '86, on the Plains since '96.
I Learned from some of the best.
I can get you to the good storms, and usually I get there early.

I can fly out to meet up, or ride out with someone from East Coast.
My ride is too small for 2 people, but I will drive myself out there
if I can't find a partner willing to take me along.

I am an excellent long distance driver, good mechanic, navigator, etc.
Very handy to have around.

I can share expenses on the rode,
but would like it if you could host me on the down days.
(I'd rather spend money on gas than hotels).

I don't need more than a floor to sleep on,
and I won't be under foot during the daytime.

Camping, sleeping in cars, roughing it
is fine with me if that is how you roll.
(The mission comes first !)

I don't smoke anymore, but I don't care if you do.

Lemme know.

Hello there!

I am looking for a storm chase partner for the 2012 season..

I live in Benton County, AR (Extreme NW AR)

I work at the police department in Rogers, AR, Saturday through Wednseday, from 2pm to 10pm (sometimes till 2am, not that it matters.

I do not have nearly the experience of the rest of you, in fact, I am still awaiting my first chase! However, if you read my introduction post, you will see I am highly interested and extremely enthusiastic. I am mainly looking for someone willing to help show me the ropes. I have done extensive research over the past two years on storm spotting and chasing, have taken classes, and am ready to brave the thrills and chills of real storm chasing.

I have a Maroon Dodge Durango V8 4x4 that I don't mind driving for local chases (my wife needs the vehicle to get to work, too), but if we use your vehicle I can chip in for gas and the like.

I will also be able to take vacation time if needed, but only if I have a good notice ahead of time.

I have a three bedroom house that will have a vacant guest bedroom pretty soon, so sleeping arrangements can be made if it is needed...

Please let me know if you are interested, as I am really hoping that this year doesn't end up with me sitting at home just tracking all season, wishing and daydreaming about the chase. :)

Thanks!
~Bobby

Hi everyone!
The ILCHASE.org team is planning a spring chase trip with our vehicles departing Illinois on or around April 17th. We plan to be out wherever the weather takes us. We are not a tour, we are chasers and you will have a seat in one of our various chase vehicles including our mobile command and communications truck. All participants share fuel and hotel expenses equally among everyone. Individuals responsible for whatever food and drinks.
We only have a couple seats left for this trip!!

More info: http://www.ilchase.org/spring-chase-trip/

Drop me an email for more information.

Thanks,
Keenan

I'm also willing to team up with folks. Have my own Dodge pickup, which I am wanting to get set up with my laptop, GRL3, and mobile broadband to start.

Thanks!

Hey,I live in Joplin, Mo. and have a few years of experience in forecasting. I have grlevel3 and gas money. My predicament is that I lost my SUV in a wreck and I currently only have a car. I am also trying to save money so, I am looking for someone with transportation to split the gas. I will be along for the ride unless you need help forecasting then I can throw in my ideas. All I will bring is my camerabag and laptop. I can also meet you at a location.

So If your looking to save pm me.

Hey all, you can find me within roughly a 6 hour radius of Chicago. I've used all my experience from being a Commercial Pilot to do the opposite of what I was trained to do and go towards the storm. My work situation allows me to get on a setup with less than a days notice. If you are planning on going solo anytime, and your in my area, definitely contact me, I may have an empty seat, or have found myself solo that day as well.

Equipment (Very Basic) : 08 Ram, camcorder, camera, laptop, smart phone, weather radio, gas money

Take care, and be safe

I'm looking for carpool opportunities in central Iowa. I would like for the home base to be out of or near by Ames Iowa. If you are in the area and looking for gas money, snacks and someone that has chase gear at the ready.....let me know.
