Monster long tracked Tornadic Supercell has formed near to Scott City, KS and has continued to produce multiple Tornadoes as it tracks up to the Nebraska boarder. Here the environment is if anything even better for producing tornadoes - one to def. watch right now!

Didn't think we were doing NOW threads anymore, but while it's here ...

That beast the formed near Scott City died remarkably quickly, but another cell just formed to its north and appears to have taken over where the other one left off. The KUEX scan from 2058 UTC appears to have a cyclonic/anticyclonic vortex pair, but nothing on the ground per ChaserTV streams.

Cells just north of Salina, KS, are severe warned, but they don't look that impressive.

SPC just issued a PDS severe watch for central OK and north TX. Hail to baseball size and winds to 80 mph expected. Hope my car is going to be okay ...

First time I ever recall a PDS "severe TS watch" for large hail and high winds only, per the text. Tornadoes appear to be of less concern. Very interesting.

I've seen them a few times before, but they're definitely not common.

Previously mentioned storm west of Kearney, NE, looks like a monster, but will probably get disrupted in the next few scans because of convection blowing up just to the east (in its inflow).

Storm southwest of Columbus, NE is a monster as well with a history of producing tornaodoes. Looks like it is becoming a hp mess at the moment.

Will be interesting with how they handle the College World Series in Omaha over the next hour or so...just a typical rainout with each person looking out for themself, or an organized plan for shelter in place. I doubt the complex will let up much; may or may not have a tornado, but SVR probabilities look pretty good.
