Tempest Tours led by Bill Reid got on the supercell that produced the tornado 8 miles SW of Presho SD. We originally were drawn to a target around the Norfolk area but after watching several cells struggle against the cap... Bill elected to drift towards the north were the cap was weaker and a good Theta E was present. A cell finally went up across the border in South Dakota along I-90 and that became our target. It briefly split then became almost stationary which allowed for an easy intercept.

The storm was somewhat high based but good rotation was evident. One of our guests filmed the funnel that likely made the tornado. We were treated to a nice cinnamon bun swirl wall cloud which briefly produced a small funnel, a gorgeous mammatus display and a spectacular CG barrage. All in all a good chase. Bob
