Had a nice local chase east of Downtown Dallas this evening in Balch Springs near I20 / 635. The cell had a nice wall cloud with good rising motion & slight rotation. It was hovering over a heavily populated area so I'm thankful it didn't drop. It did pack a strong hail core that wreaked havoc in the area, so I hopped on I20 east where I ran into Sean Casey and the TIV. It's the first time I've seen him out this season so maybe he is gearing-up for May. At any rate, the storm tried to cycle but weakened which eventually yielded a nice sunset for the short trip home.
