2011-04-26 Now: TX,OK,AR,LA,MS,TN

I'm at work in the oilfield in desoto parish Louisiana. We are shut down until lightning is gone. We've been hearing reports that a drilling rig was hit in southern bossier parish, tipping it over with reports of multiple injuries.

Just saw this on Twitter...also, emergency manager in Van Zandt Co., TX is reporting ~100 homes damaged by tornado.

multiple tornado warnings active here in Tennessee, moving into the Middle Tennessee area and expected to be in the Nashville metropolitan in the next 90 minutes, however I'm not seeing anything too defined on GRLEVEL3, just weak rotation being indicated by Doppler. the outside air is very muggy and surface temps are pretty warm, about 73* right now here in Murfreesboro, winds are picking up, but they're whipping around so much I can't tell which direction they're coming from.

I heard that report from Van Zandt - we broke off of that cell when we were just south of Martin's Mill - I will be *shocked* if that 100+ homes damaged report verifies. Storms were moving east. How did a mile-wide tornado make an 8-mile damage path that runs north and south? Nope, not buying it...
