I know for a fact that we've got a Meteorology department (or at least page) in Delta, but as a mechanic I'm not privy to the flight-planning materials. What I do know is on DeltaNet we can pull general wx maps.

Delta is the only passenger airline that still has a meteorology department (kudos). Jason, what you likely will not find on that system are tornado warnings, the same ones all of us receive! I'm trying to get that changed. I wrote about it in Warnings and I'm writing about it now. I'd love to see Delta get behind this.

No, I'm digging a bit and I'm not finding a single bit about tornadoes. There's really no reason I can think of why they wouldn't allow us to warn our crews about this stuff.

I'm sure with the right words in the right ears from the right source, and they'd hop all over it....I know Delta's got a very open policy about contacting upper management about stuff that's important.....
