• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

2010 Tornado Predictions

Since this requires no scientific background (or backup), I've employed the use of tarot cards - which are only .03% less accurate than the GFS...:)

Either you have a large map on the wall or you are good with darts. If I were throwing darts I would have targets from Oregon to Alabama.

Within 20 miles of...

April 9 - Jetmore, KS

April 24 - Comanche, OK

June 6 - Holyoke, CO

Well, I admittedly picked a dud with "no severe reports" on Apr 9th. BUT, on April 24 i only blew the 20 miles by about 400mi to the nearest tornado(Table Rock, MO)... granted I did miss "the show" by about 2 states.
In reality that day I chased the 15% moderate in Southern Ill on the way home from the Nebraska late convection chase on Friday. I saw some ok stuff(a weakly organized wall cloud near Mt Vernon IL.) but was not on the tornadic cell that went through St Louis. We shall see what you have in store on June 6 Holyoke, but first there is MAY!!!

May 14th Red Cloud, NE

May 10 Goodland KS.
May 18 Greensburg KS.
May 29 Woodward OK
June 8 Eastern CO.
June 23 Topeka KS.

Upon a quick review again, the mid to late season front runner by my evaluation is Edward Oneal. There was a tornado reported near Russel Springs KS on May 10th, which is only about a 60 mile drive to Goodland. Sure its not the Wakita cell, but who would really have thought to put Wakita on this thread without expecting to be laughed off the page.

So close Shane !
May 2
2125 8 SW ULYSSES GRANT KS 3750 10146 A BRIEF LANDSPOUT TORNADO WAS OBSERVED NEAR THE GRANT COUNTY FEED LOT. (DDC)

I shall play along with an early, mid, and late season pick...

April 21 - Somewhere near Canadian, TX

May 25 - Somewhere near Garden City, KS

June 7 - Somwhere near Last Chance, CO (gotta have 1 pick on my home turf!)

Hey I was pretty close on my May 25th guess! I got a tornado near Tribune, KS which is only 86 miles away. Not a bad guess!
