If anyone's interested, there's an elevated supercell traveling up I-44 passing Chickasha. I wouldn't be surprised to see a hail track in its wake and maybe some perturbations in the wind field as an RFD or two make a soft landing on the top of the frontal inversion. So far this supercell has persisted since before passing Lawton.

We've had several instances of elevated supercells with winter storms, the last being the big ice storm in Norman.

Couple SVR warned cells E of Waco, TX have that classic flying eagle look on radar and are blasting NNE at 60mph!

AT 256 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS DETECTED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND
DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR
GROESBECK...AND MOVING NORTH AT 60 MPH.

Anyone out today better have timing down. NO stopping to take pictures unless you have solid rocket boosters on the side of your chase vehicle and then you better hope your timing is perfect.

Appears to be a bust today. Severe weather was kept down by rain showers ahead of the front. As of 11:37 we have had 3 Tornado reports 5 Wind reports and 15 Hail reports.

Broken line of rapidly strengthening supercells across SW LA right now going up in an environment with very strong shear and favorable thermodynamic profiles...strong likelihood of tornado warnings in the coming minutes!
