2/25/2011 DISC: CA

Thanks for sharing that, great. I see pic 16 here seems to show the cell that may have produced the tornado, but I'm not sure (think it's even less likely comparing with the other pics, though it's nice to see some of the convective context in the general area). In 17-18 you can see the funnel among other pics--33 is a good one too.

Sacramento 2/25/11

Early that morning I saw the local NWS AFD forecast for thunderstorms in the valley. I saw a nice tower going up on my way home from work and spent a good 30 minutes in a hail/snow/rain mix on the highway. No real camera at home...android shot of hail remnants: http://bit.ly/emddY7

Nice Toni--that hail-snow-mix precip reminds me one time in Sacramento when the weather channel had described a very unusual precip that fell with a thunderstorm in March or April as "snow-encased hail"--never heard or saw that prior or since (also I recall the frequent lightning with that storm appeared pink). Thanks for those other videos M. Drabowski. Notice in this other video that before the weather service survey the TV met was unaware it was an actual tornado until hearing the eyewitness reports relayed by the reporter by the uprooted tree about the ground-level circulation seeming to meet the funnel ann also the damage:
