The extremely energetic trough line is now powering through the Phoenix metro area as a severe-warned squall line. Sustained winds over 30 with gusts to 50 are occurring throughout the area -- higher in the vicinity of the squall line. The line looks to be moving about 50, so is ten hours or so at its current speed away from the Guadalupe Pass area for those chasing the wind event.
