• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

there were some pretty intense cells that moved through the area today...particularly one storm that was severe, and not warned...

i was at my house watching em come in on the radar, and asking my mom about em at her job in skyline...well, there was some exceptional conditions out there for some hail, but no instability, so the stones weren't that large...

one cell came right through east tupelo on highway 6 and main street with some serious flooding...my mother doesn't have windows in her car, and she got soaked into her socks right as it was leaving town and told me that the power was off at palmers, savalot, DG and everything right there including the stoplights...

at this time, i had my friend call me on the phone in eggville that it was hailing like crazy...they took pictures on their phones, and i told em to put some samples in the freezer...well, i just come back from their house, and the hail stones are flat, and they are definitely all penny to nickel size...

my friend has a pic on his phone and im gonna try to see if he cant get it uploaded to me somehow so i can put it here...if i get it, i will post it here...the hail had stripped leaves, and i don't know if this is true or not, but i saw it with my own eyes...

i don't know if they were playing with me, or what...but there was a 12oz bud light bottle that was in the yard, and a stone broke the bottle just above the neck...they left it right were it sat so i could see it, and it was barely cracked and you could see a small hole in the bottle and it all fit together in only 3 pieces...so i assume its possible, but it would have had to be a pretty large stone so i cant confirm that, but what i can confirm is the samples they had were definatly penny to nickel size, with some a little bit larger...
