Tornado watches out with notifications of extreme shear bumping up EF2-EF5 probabilities, although individual tornado threat as a whole is listed as isolated. If one happens, in other words, it'll be a significant one.

Currently seeing the strongest language I've ever seen for a severe thunderstorm warning in Mississippi:
"THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS STORM. WINDS OF 80 MPH OR GREATER CAN EXTENSIVELY DAMAGE OR DESTROY MOBILE HOMES...WHICH SHOULD BE EVACUATED IF POSSIBLE. SIGNIFICANT ROOF DAMAGE MAY OCCUR TO WELL BUILT HOMES AND STRUCTURES...ALONG WITH EXTENSIVE TREE AND POWERLINE DAMAGE. MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS."

I'd normally adhere to rules and not quote SPC text, but that's as closest as I've seen them get to a "severe thunderstorm emergency" analogue. Very dangerous situation for Mississippi, especially in the rural areas where information may not come as quickly or efficiently.

You are not kidding. Large, well defined hook now showing up on radar on an embedded cell between Tupelo and Columbus. Looks like the cells in the line are actually becoming more discreet.

Terry Tyler is on an interesting looking storm near KGWX. Nice couplet showing up on the velocity scans. Currently tor warned and for good reason.

My tire blew on a gravel road just 3 miles from it, and im stranded down here. Looks like i wont be going anywhere for some time. They say a tornado was reported just minutes from my location with tree damage reported by emergency management. After being out since 11 this morning, im pretty furious to say the least. Going on 5PM and im still stuck, i cant believe it!
