Recording record low altimeter settings at the airports here in SoCal. Any of you gurus have info on the pressures at the low causing all of this? It appears to be spinning just offshore Oregon and Washington.

All time record low for barometric pressure set in Medford Oregon also...

RECORD EVENT REPORT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEDFORD, OR 232 PM PST WED JAN 20 2010 ...RECORD LOWEST BAROMETRIC PRESSURE SET AT MEDFORD OR... THE BAROMETRIC PRESSURE FELL TO 28.88 INCHES OF MERCURY TODAY. THIS BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD LOWEST BAROMETRIC PRESSUE OF 28.93 INCHES SET ON DECEMBER 12, 1995.

29.11 this hours ATIS information at KONT. It was 29.2x a couple hours ago. This event is obviously unusual, but what is the most surprising to me is that the low pressure is as widespread as it is. NOAA or somebody flying aircraft into the center of a low like this?
