There are a couple of strong cells in Barton Co., Kansas. The storm closer to Great Bend is showing a little rotation with VILS above 70. It is also a right mover.

There is some favorable shear in those locations as strong southeast surface winds will be aided by the low level jet as it increases and becomes south then south-southwest through the evening tonight. If storms can remain surface based and continue to feed off of the instability being pushes into the environment ahead of the storm than we could see continued potential for large hail, perhaps a very brief tornado if conditions can come together perfectly within the next hour or two...

Both SIG TOR indices indicate a value of 1 in that area. SIG SVR is 40%.

TORH isn't off the wall, but pockets of higher values here and there...

No need to add OK to this thread. Im in Norman, OK due to work and have been getting some pretty stout straight line winds for the last 15 mins out of the southeast. Seen several powerflashes to my northwest im at I-35 and Main. Obviously not severe but the power here has gone out a couple of times. Quite a pain in the neck when your on a desktop in the middle of a poker game ;)
