Very stormy morning around here in the New York City area; a couple of severe thunderstorms passed through my area within the last hour. A group of severe cells heading over Suffolk County (Long Island, New York) were tornado-warned around noon. Being on dial-up, I had to disconnect my phone in order to keep the computer from being fried in case of lightning. The forecast calls for more storms this afternoon.

A strong cell went to the south of my office in Westport, CT and stayed over the Sound. No severe weather here, a significant amount of lightning though and a brief heavy shower. Again, no severe in this area, but I did see the tornado warned cell over Long Island.
