Spotters are tracking a tornado in the foothills west of Colorado Springs with this tornado just outside Woodland Park on US Hwy 24. Storm showing a small couplet on velocity scans, so not surprised to hear these reports. Odd to think a tornado in the mountains as the circle of Colorado chasers is bouncing texts around saying things like "Woodland Park?!?!" and "8500ft elevation! WTF!!!" LOL
Being the storm isn't moving out of the higher terrain combined with the imminent I-25 disaster known as rush hour, there is no way any of us up here in the Denver area are going to make it down there at a reasonable time. Be curious to see if any Springs-area chasers bit and went up the hill to check it out!
